My Say

She is more left-brained than right-brained. Her left brain controls the right side of her body. In addition, she is also known as a critical thinker who uses logic and sense to collect information. She is able to retain this information through the use of numbers, words, and symbols. She usually only see parts of the "whole" picture, but this is what guides her step-by-step in a logical manner to her conclusion.

The Poplar Tree (the Uncertainty)
Looks talented, not very self-confident, extremely courageous if necessary, needs goodwill and pleasant surroundings, very choosy, good organizer, tends to lean toward philosophy, reliable in any situation, takes partnership seriously.

Sometimes, I’m just thinking too much and hard that my brain seems to be retaliating. Maybe that’s why I’m starting to have shorter term memory.

Anw, LMS was enriching today. The topic for the day was anger management and I learned a few key points. It may be useful when I have to duel when anger next time. Hopefully.

And for IAC, my group has finally decided on the topic that we are going to look into. Out of the many topics we had discussed so far (around 15+), CHARITY emerged as the winner. So, our group hypnosis will be “Volunteerism is not on teenagers’ priorities nowadays”. So beware, u may be receiving online surveys from me about the topic as this is a compulsory part for the project. Please be frank about it and support me then. Thks!

In addition, I’m joining a Sharity Gift Box (SGB), an external publicity and collection of food items for less fortunate people during the festive season of Christmas. Hence, I think I may be able to get a few people to interview during the event. Helping others and doing my project at the same time. Fantastic. A stone throws at two birds.

I forced myself to wake up around 1130 in the morning to prepare for the lecture in the afternoon. Around 130, I reached the school compound and went to the atrium to slack for around half an hour before the lecture starting at 2.

And just like what rac had warned me of, the Mrs Gopalan lecturing the BLAW was really a slowcoach. She could go on talking without stopping for 10mins+ for a slide, telling us lots of stories here and there. So when my concentration was already gone about 15mins into the lecture (she was still on the 2nd slide about the introduction), my friends suggested me to practice writing with my left hand. Since the idea of something else instead of the lecture interest me, I took the idea and started with it. So, as u can expect, I didn’t hear much of the lecture. Around an hour into the lecture, she was still on the 7th slide (I think so); I started doing the tutorial that was only required to finish by next Thursday. The tutorial was really easy, probably due to the fact that it was the first tutorial questions. I took less than half an hour to finish it and when I looked up, she was only on the 11th slide. The lecture dragged on and I try my best to concentrate, though it was in vain. Thus, I only listened a bit here and there and I don’t see much use to it. Finally when it was 4, the time the lecture should end, she skipped through the last two slides, believing that we will go and read it ourselves. Finally!

I’m being asked a question during IAC today. It was a commonly heard question that I had never bothered to think.

    The question is

If I had a shipwreck and woke up in a deserted island alone, what is the one thing that I would wish for?

As instructed by the teacher, we are not supposed to think of ways to get out of the island.

    So my answer was

Since I can’t think of ways to get out of the island, then I want a bed with a pillow, so I could sleep in a more comfort way. =]

P.S. How would u answer such a question if it was u?

I met up with rac and jac around the noon in compass point. My main purpose was to pass rac all her textbook before school starts and buy a new earpiece. So, just as we planned, we went to have fish soup as our lunch. It’s been a real long time since I had last ate it. Anyway, the taste did not disappoint me. In the midst of eating, jac brought up a topic that has been dragging since around June. It was about creating an anniversary for Ouran. After some memories recalling and discussion, we all agreed on having it on the first of May. This is probably because of the following two reasons; firstly, it was around the time when we first formed Ouran. Secondly, on that day, it was Labour Day and all of us are likely to come out and celebrate.

After filling our stomachs, we went shopping around for mainly my earpiece and rac’s handphone pouch. We walked a few places, which I finally made my purchase at the new BEST, along with free popcorn due to their new opening. Rac brought her handphone pouch at a handphone shop at the basement. When all purchases were done, rac and I proceeded to the comic shop and jac went home.

Both of us did not stay long around the hougang area and went home around 2:30pm.

P.S Anyone have another objection to the anniversary of Ouran?

I had myself prepared with the situation I’m likely to face with those primary one kids that I was supposed to coach today. Just how I came about to this will have to relate back to a friend of mine. Last Saturday, a friend of mine, told me that she got a lobang and asked whether I will be interested with it. This lobang turned out to be a coach assistant for students in primary one. The class will be conducted on Microsoft word. As the job seems easy and the pay was attractive with short working hours, I agreed to it without double thoughts.

With troubles in between (that I shall not talk of), I finally got to the com lab. However, that was only the beginning of all.

Chaos for the class held today.

There were kids running around, treating the lab as their own playground, snatching stuffs from one another, and shouting across the room like in a wet market. Adding up to the problems, when two students raised their hands together, I will have to consider which to attend to first. This is because the one that I neglect will be the opportunity cost I have to pay due to the fact that students in primary one do not have much patience, making them wait will only increase their mobility. In the end, it means moving or running around.

Anyway, though everything was in chaos, I had a fun time and gained a lot of new experiences. In addition, I understand fully why I never ever consider being a teacher in my list of further careers.

    Yes, SKSS day tomorrow.
