My Say

She is more left-brained than right-brained. Her left brain controls the right side of her body. In addition, she is also known as a critical thinker who uses logic and sense to collect information. She is able to retain this information through the use of numbers, words, and symbols. She usually only see parts of the "whole" picture, but this is what guides her step-by-step in a logical manner to her conclusion.

The Poplar Tree (the Uncertainty)
Looks talented, not very self-confident, extremely courageous if necessary, needs goodwill and pleasant surroundings, very choosy, good organizer, tends to lean toward philosophy, reliable in any situation, takes partnership seriously.

I recommend everyone out there to try out this test. It is a MBTI personality test. As the name states, it is a test based on personality. According to my IAC tutor who is a psychologist & counselor, the facts hold are quite true. To take the test, press the following link and then followed by pressing on ‘FREE QUIZ! Take the quiz and learn what type you are’.

    http://www.personalitytype.com/

In reality, most people will have some of both sides. However, sometimes one may overweight another, so try to choose by balancing the both sides.

For me, my personality is ISTJ. In simple words, it means the following:

    Introvert
    Drawn to inner world
    Work out ideas by reflecting
Learn best by thinking and reflecting
Takes initiative when issue is important
    Focuses in-depth on interests

    Sensor
    Oriented to present realities
Focuses on what is real and actual
    Trusts experience
    Builds carefully towards conclusions
    Understands ideas/theories through practical application

    Thinking
    Analytical
    Uses cause-effect reasoning
    Solves problems with logic
    Strives for objective truth
    Reasonable
    Can be tough-minded

    Judging
    Scheduled
    Organised
    Systematic
    Methodical
    Makes plans
    Like to have things decided

Is it a good or bad personality? I have no idea either. But I think it does helps me of understanding myself better. So try it out!

It’s been ages since I last blogged again. Either blames it to my laziness or the sudden problem occurring on the wireless network at home. Anyway, the default was finally repaired and I can surf the net freely again.

Today, I woke up 7 in the morning to get ready for a trip down to school. The reason behind the trip despite it’s a Saturday was because of a charity activity, “Sharity Gift Box”. I had joined due to the persistent encouragement from Elena. Anyway, I had arrived at 845 and reported directly to the people-in-charge. After it, I went straight into the theatre and was surprised to see only two volunteers excluding me. So, as what I had predicted, many people was late. When the theatre was almost full, they started off with a short briefing about the whole event and what we were supposed to do. All in all, they were around 150 volunteers including primary school students which made out 1/4 of the whole population. Then, we got separated into groups and each group was assigned a group leader & an assistant leader. They were supposed to take care of us during the whole event. However, unknown to me before the event, my group leader was Elena. It was both a good and bad news to me. Although Elena and I had been friends since primary school, I had never been under her lead. In addition, the blur-ness she always shown frights me off.

Again, unknown to me before the event, we were supposed to take public transport on our own to the estate that we were going to publicize. Luckily for me, there was enough money inside my Ezlink card. We took 184 into Bukit Panjang interchange whereby we alighted. After which we got separated into smaller groups of 4 to make the whole procedure easier. I got grouped into the same group with Elena and a china friend whose name I forgot a moment just after she said it. The numbers of blocks were being allocated into half and two groups to each.

At the first unit door, the three of us were still quite unused to talking to strangers and the atmosphere was a bit awkward. However, we got used to it after a few levels and started to speed up. The first block was around 90 units and we were fast at it as many people were out.

Then, we hit down for the second block and this time things did not carried out as smoothly. The reason as to some doors we knocked and knowing perfectly that there was someone in the house due to the noise, shadows and peak hole, they simply refused to open up. So, we only resort to slotting the leaflets on the door step. In addition, we faced some really rude residues that shut the door right at our face. We were slower at this block as there were around 150 units to it.

At the third block which is also the last block, there were even more units, around 160. And it was at this particular block which I saw a very hilarious unit’s appearance. The main door of the unit was closed and at the left side of the door, just above the door bell, there was a A4-size notice. The heading of the notice was in bold red and it reads “Please Read”. For the body part, it reads “Students, promoters, advertisers…we are not interested in the product you sell or the survey, so please do not disturb us” and they put in the text that they had installed a CCTV which was a really small size camera pointing straight towards us beside the bell. Ridiculous. So, after making a funny joke with Elena that we should try the unit since they did not put donation into the text, we decided a cleverer choice is to put the leaflets at the door step and leave that unit undisturbed. We finished the whole thing by 130 in the afternoon, followed by a short briefing and got to leave at 140 which was surprising to me because they had stated in the forms that the event ends at 5.

In conclusion, it was fun moving around, exploring all levels and seeing different stuffs at each. It was even more meaning when I know that what I’m doing will eventually help people in need. Anyway, I looked forward for the next week.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.
